We were delighted with Beauty and the Beast, which was at the Civic Theatre Christmas 2007/8.
Every show was a sellout, with the more popular shows selling out well before Christmas. This was great, but it was sad to have to turn people away.
The show was hugely popular with the audiences. Particular highlights were - the transformation scene at the end of Act 1 - the buzz in the audience at the end of this told us how much they'd appreciated it; we also had great performances and lovely singing from the principals, great comedy from the dame with Simon and Sally, strong support from the rest of cast and a lovely dragon that won the hearts of the entire audience.
Beauty and the Beast ran from Friday December 28th 2007 to Tuesday January 1st 2008.
